To be a Department of Chemical Engineering that has a modern program and infrastructure, and conducts scientific research that can produce solutions to national and international problems in the fields related to chemical engineering.

Strategic Goals and Targets of the Department of Chemical Engineering:

Çankırı Karatekin University stands out with its geologically extremely important salt mine, geothermal spring water as a renewable energy source, Sumitomo tire production factory, Ako-battery production facilities and various facilities that perform production with recycling in the organized industrial zones. It has riches such as endless salt beds, which constitute a significant part of the world`s reserves, and Granito ceramic production factory. In this sense, our department aims to train Chemical Engineers who will contribute to the evaluation stages of such facilities. The faculty members of the department conduct their theses in order to solve the problems of the existing facilities in the Organized Industrial Zones in Çankırı.

In addition, the curriculum implemented in the department, which supports theoretical education with application, laboratory, design and project studies, supports graduates to actively use the knowledge and experience they have gained during their education in their working lives, to work in teams, and to reach ethical and social responsibility awareness.

The department also aims to train graduates with the knowledge and experience to work in the production, marketing and industrial production units of chemical companies operating in our region and all over Turkey. While preparing the Chemical Engineering Education Program, compliance with MÜDEK criteria was taken into consideration and the program educational objectives were determined in light of the above information.
